Beschreibung
Train fires in railway tunnels can endanger hundreds of people. This in itself presents fire services with extreme challenges. In addition, due to the complexity of railway service operations, they are dependent on intensive co-operation with railway infrastructure managers and railway undertakings.
For this reason, the International Fire Academy has developed its Railway Tunnel Firefighting Procedure in a team with experts from railway companies and the Swiss Federal Office of Transport and documented it jointly in this book. This publication is intended to accompany training and support operational preparation so that fire services can also go into action with confidence in the event of railway incidents.
