Methanol can play a decisive role in the global energy transition. Sustainably produced from CO2, water and green electricity, it is clean and climate-neutral. It can easily and safely replace all fossil fuels. This protects the environment and the climate and simplifies the entire energy supply. Methanol is also an optimal storage medium: as "liquid electricity" it can contribute to securing Switzerland's electricity supply.
The entrepreneur and scientist Urs A. Weidmann shows in a generally understandable way what methanol is, what advantages it offers and how it is produced in a CO2-neutral way.
