This book offers the reader a jamboree of around 2000 proverbs from western and central Sudan. The proverbs constitute an important component of local folklore, heritage and wisdom of the area, perpetuated through day-today interactions and lived experiences of ordinary people. The authors present the proverbs in their original language and in English translation.
