In this collection of special stories, Doctor Salim recounts his own experiences and encounters with a saint who was and still is highly respected as the Pole of our age. It was in Londons Peckham Mosque that he allowed us to partake of a month of extraordinary Tarawîh prayers during Ramadan, on the Swiss Schweibenalp, in his house in Northern Cyprus or in remote areas, such as the deep Black Forest where he honoured us by his visit several times. In recent years, more and more young people have been coming to the Shaykh, who have hardly been able to get to know him properly due to his advanced age. The stories recounted here are in particular intended to give them unexpected insights into Shaykh Efendis vitality, while reminding older students of their own encounters: each of them like the flash of a precious jewel, in which the Lord of the Worlds through our Shaykh allows us to taste something of His Divine Beauty and Love.
