Dr. Okonda is a practising Christian and a religious scholar. He has taught Bible, Theology and Religion for Kima International School of Theology, Global University, Mount Kenya University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He currently serves at the Department of Education of the Church of God in East Africa (Kenya).
