The publication deals with popular history magazines. Market conditions, topics and mediating strategies are analysed in a comparative European perspective. Moreover, information is provided about the EU project EHISTO, which uses popular history magazines to enhance media literacy and intercultural competences in history education.

Autorenportrait

Susanne Popp is professor of History Didactics at the University of Augsburg (Germany) and chairwoman of the International Society for History Didactics. Together with Jutta Schumann, who works as a research associate at the University of Augsburg, and Miriam Hannig, she managed the EU project EHISTO (2012-2014).
